Hoffman magnetic MimiMite is not used for other ornithopters.
I thought from size of gears and chose a high-powered motor.

Very true Patricia. I've been trying to figure out how to do the same thing with my small avitrons for a while now. But because of the way the wing membrane has to move to change direction... and the fact that the wings should be easily replaceable... It's complicated. Although, if it were easy pushing my avitrons to their limits wouldn't be any fun. ;-)

Yes, it is complicated and the complexity also
varies with the type of flapping mechanism and
wing design.

But.... you're right....pushing ornithopters to the limits is where all the fun is !!
