I also have servo speed controller. I think slower tilt servo speed is better when takeoff. Because it take time to accelerate aircraft to foward flight. So I can set the appropriate servo speed for that. After vertical takeoff I can push nacelles tilt button full foward and thats it. Aircraft accelerate and hold altitude until it has enough foward flight speed.
I have decided on mine to use about 2 seconds to go from vertical-horizontal and about 2 1/2 seconds the other way. Reason being you have quite a Vx speed and need more time to slow it down. I expect quite a bit of nose down as the wing loses lift and turns, so I will lead off with up elevator as I flip the switch.

I have used about 3 seconds transition, but I don't have enough test flights to say if it's best time delay. I think the question is more like, how you want to flight. Slow transition means smooth flight. Fast transition might enable you to do tricks. I can't do any VTOL tricks but I can imagine someone will some day do so.Tight VTOL manouvers might look cool.

This video shows about 70 degrees transition. Flight path is about 15 m radius arc. (Sound has been changed just for fun).

Mr. Jan, Your project is coming along very nicely.

It looks like your Jet is capable of VTOL. Have you tried vertical take off and hover in no wind yet?

Sorry to say. It is not jet. It is sound dubbed jet - just for fun. But yes it is capable of VTOL even though it is not practical VTOL because of heavy weight. And I never done full 90 degrees transition. I have done only 70 degrees transitions.
