RC powered paraglider FLEX 1.7 V3 flypg

In January I receive from South Korea my new RC powered paraglider FLEX 1.7 V3 from flypg.
I was amazed at the quality of this product. Price is very good (85$+27$ shipping with EMS).
Pictures will speak for me.

Thanks for the Setup and Configuration pics

Popa D

Thanks for the Setup and Configuration pics. The FLYpg Flex is a good value. Built tough I've crashed quite a few times before I configured the control like your pictures. Here's some snapshot of my flights.

The Wing and Chassis is the FLEX 1.7 V3 from FLYpg.co Note: FLYpg.co not dot com. Still needs motor, esc, prop, battery, transmitter, receiver, etc... I like the flexible frame, the wing and lines are already configured to fly. Looks nice zooming around. I ordered and paid with Paypal.

Nice weather still another flight!

We still have some nice weather in San Diego I ran out after work and managed to get in another flight. Had a tough first launch but managed pretty well after that.

I'm getting occasional oscillation (swinging) but might be my chassis mod lowering all the mass. I'm still flying in wide open spaces with this one.

Popa D looking forward to your first flight details. To see if you notice any swinging or if it's related to my mod.

I'm thinking about mounting my GOPRO for a flight or two soon.

Popa D I'm waiting for your next post!

ANY other Paraglider Pilots in the Room?

PS How many Paraglider Pilots in the room?

I'm not a master PPG Pilot. I've owned and flown a couple different models, 3 Sky Surfer types, Paralight Aviation, Opale Spiral 1.2R, now the FLEX and an Oxy 0.5. but hours and hours 1400 flight flying mostly flat wings.

Compared to a Sky Surfer flat wing this arched wing seems unstable. If it starts oscillating and you don't do the right thing... it can pretty quickly get out of control. Although I have done the same over control mistake with the Opale Spiral but the problem seemed to be more me than the wing. I'm sure flying an airplane can be the same way.

Even as I try to get the FLEX to cruise I often get some oscillation. It's not out of control but it does oscillate. I had previously lowered the mass on my chassis and thought maybe the oscillation was related to my mod. I manage to get oscillation under control by focusing on counter steering with some right turn just as the chassis begins a swing from the right to left. That trick works, but steer right as the chassis begins it swing left to right it can quickly get very exciting.

ALSO just heard from a friend who has not modified the chassis and he too maybe having problems handling oscillation. So there's an update. If I was performing non stop stunts maybe I wouldn't notice but I just want to cruise smoothly across the sky.

So.... there is an update... I'm gonna see if adding additional weight lower is any improvement. I manage to fly and cruise but it definitely takes proper control when the oscillation starts or you will make it worse.

Anyone have ideas? Do all the arched wings oscillate? Just get used to it? Learn to control it, does it become second nature to counter steer the oscillation?

I've got some boring videos where I am cruising around and I manage to fly 10-15 minutes without crashing but I know that if I compensate for oscillation incorrectly it goes bad quick... just me?

The best thing to do with oscillation is either keep turning ONE way until it stops or cut throttle completely and let it settle. If a turn is where your oscillation is starting try "blipping" (for lack of a better term) opposite stick eg: if turning left upon exiting the turn flick the stick right. Hard to explain with out showing.

From Mr. Jaewoong

Hello Popa.D

1. Flex1.7V3 of features - from right to left
2, Recommended weight - 800 Gram.
3, Setting than standard 5mm brake line down(More stable flight).
4, Proper use of the throttle.
5, Horizontal flight flying rather than falling...
6, Riser interval 100mm
7, rotated from outside the aircraft during the rotation of the straight line flight and rotate again
Repetitive rotation makes each of the larger banks.
. Smooth curve is the practice of flying..
9, how to increase the speed of the glider
- A moisturizer to move the clip below (5mm shrink)
Rate increases and less flicker.

You need to present as many problems as possible.
For suggestions on how to resolve.

Always thank you.
English is too difficult ... ^ ^
