Good points on both sides. How does everyone else feel? Brandon? Doug? Chuck?

Thanks to those that flew combat today. Newcomer Kyle Whitley absolutely OWNED "Who's Next" in an awesome collision during the 2nd round. It's fixable but of course I stripped another servo. Was a lot of fun!

Brandon, you need to post the pic of my prop tip embedded in Kyle's wing from the first round!

The only thing that concerns me about using a standard prop adapter rather than the O ring is the chance of breaking the prop on landing every time. I know Mike's Outlaw does that quite regularly. I would like to avoid that if at all possible.

Thoughts?

I was thinking that as well when I decided to go ahead and use a rigid prop adapter. My other thought was that the landings would rip the motor mount from the wing when the prop dug into the ground. I decided that the rigid adapter was just fine after I realized how slowly I can bring the Popwing in for a landing. Very little sliding occurs, and as I flew it more, the better I got at letting it gently "flop" down on to the ground to land. No sliding, no damage.

By the way, congrats on your first Popwing combat kill!!!

Yep, that's the one. To keep the combat fair each of us should use a 3S 1300 (approx) pack.

I'm using this one.

Yes, and it was a silly question. If you had a Spektrum receiver you'd have to be extra-careful with antenna placement so there is no shadowing. Also, make sure your BEC is putting out clean voltage; hate to see you have a brownout. Don't lose your bind plug! Need I go on?
