Yeah but they added clevis on the push rods and looks like the wings have an overlapping connection. The fuse has what looks like a access panel under the cockpit, air hole in the front and a grove for a carbon spar for strength. For $70 that is a sweet looking kit.

are you using the stock prop and adapter?

Yes, stock adapter. It's the one that is pressed on to the shaft, no collet or set screw. On my stock motor, the shaft is 3mm right were it exits the bell then necks down to 2.5mm before the prop adapter. My calipers are cheap ones so maybe the measurement is off by a bit?

Also they say they changed the boom design to allow clearance for larger props. That might be helpful.

It took forever to get this in the air. My first maiden I had a pan servo mounted on the nose, purchased from Hobby wireless the FPV 180* servo. Worked fine in the shop many times. Took it to the field turned on my radio then the plane, checked the pan and it continuously rotated in a clockwise direction, winding up all the camera wire and ripping it out of the fuse "looked like spaghetti rolled up on a fork"
So for now I glued the camera to the fuse. I also took my ESC out of the fuse and mounted it on top.
I ended up putting 3 mill NS out to the center of the ailerons to stiffen the wings.

I was looking at the v2 Bix, but decided to stay with the v1 because of the high winds here. I seems smaller wings are better in my circumstances so I guess I should say "it depends". I don't know anything about an "axn floater".

anyone tried flapperons with this or would dedicated flaps closer to the fuselage work better?

I tried flaperons but didn't like how the plane handled during landing approach with the extra drag out near the wing tips. Felt very "mushy" which doesn't feel good as you get closer to the ground. Use all the area you have from the inside edge of the aileron to about 1/2" from the fuselage for cutting flaps. Flaps alone will slow the approach speed considerably and you'll still have full range use of the ailerons.

I wanted to try a Crow or Butterfly set up, but couldn't figure out the mixing.
