JW elevons

Hey,

I'd like to fix a portion of the outer elevon to the wing. Can someone give me the approximate angle of the "reflex" in trimmed position? I'm thinking flat with the bottom surface of the wing, but just want a sanity check before I glue them.

Cheers

If you already flew and trimmed the plane, match that angle. Otherwise follow the bottom curve of the airfoil.

Another option is to tape the fixed portion on and test fly the plane, then adjust the fixed portion to the as-trimmed elevon position.

Following the bottom of the foil will get you close.
Mine are rarely perfect but will still go 200+.

Made some progress over the weekend. Need to find some black striping tape before I finish it up. Elevons going on soon so I can check balance. Hopefully it will blow enough this weekend for a maiden.

Cool design. What's up with the kink in the fuselage?

When I put the carbon rods in the fuse it deformed it slightly. It pushes down easily and will go away when it gets glued on.

Looks fantastic Red! What did you do for the colors on the bottom of the wing?

Nothing on the bottom yet, but it will likely get some sort of orange striping in a different pattern.

Nearly done, I finished up the linkage today. I'm just waiting on some better hinge tape & CG.

Bring it up to Weldon next weekend.
I like the Gulf Racing scheme.
Looks like you're going to have clearance issues with the linkages.
