After nearly 3 years... completion!! (or close enough to it)
Well folks, this is it. The addition of the workboat marks substantial completion of this nearly 3-year long build. I've logged well over 1,000 hours on what has turned out to be my most complex model ever, hands-down. I wish I could say that it has gone by quick, but it has truly been a slog from start to finish.
The USNS Sioux has been a rewarding project, and has stood up to the worst critic out there.... me. She was my ship after all, and I have fond memories of the time I spent aboard her. I put myself through the wringer trying to do justice to all the little details, and am honestly satisfied with the results.
Thanks so much to all of you who have been faithfully following this project since day one, providing constant encouragement and helpful guidance throughout the months and years. This build log and your participation truly gave me the motivation needed to see it through. Thank you!!!
There are still a few random details to wrap-up, but not enough to keep me from starting the next project. See you all on the next one!
And now, the last of the construction photos.....
