TP Pack Weight
I had a very unexpected thing happen to me today. I just got a TP-6000 3s3p Pro Lite today to replace my old TP-6000 3s3p Gen 1 pack. After adding connectors I weighed both packs. The old Gen 1 pack weighed 369.3g and the new Pro Lite pack weighed 378.5g. Also I used shorter wires on the new pack.
Charlie, what gives? I was expecting to save some weight but got a weight increase.

Your comparing a 7C pack to a 12C pack. The extra power is going to more then make
up for the extra weight.

...most of tehse higher discharge cells weigh more.
You can get a bit more power to weigjht (power desnity) but yu usually lose out on energy density.
Moral: If you aren't flying at over 8C, don't buy a 15C pack!

If you had asked, we all could have told you there was a slight weight increase for the Gen 2 Lite packs compared to the original Gen 1 packs. The extra 9-10 grams you gained with the Gen 2 Lite pack over your Gen 1 wont be noticeable at all. As everyone else has said, all cells when improved for higher discharge rates gain some weight. In the case of your packs now, youre seeing an even lower increase in weight than all other models have seen so I wouldnt worry at all.
