I would like to see some of the battery charger connectors some of the people here have made. I got a Tunigy 8150 charger and I would like to see if it would charge better than the stock charger. I remember reading about a clothespin adapter.

Ermm.. one "could' just apply a bit of white paint or tape thereby changing the P to an "R"

One has a lot more time than the other, so I'm puzzled about the coincidence.

They both broke the tail boom at the main frame.
Major PITA to fix.

Unsolder tail motor wires. pull out.
Use copious CA remover to get tail boom out.
Thread tail wires through spare tail booms.
I didn't glue the new ones in. They are a powerfull friction fit.
Resolder the tail motor wires (not for amateur solderers).

And then, within an hour, one of the tail motors failed... argh!
Next time I replace a tail boom, I'm putting in a new tail motor at the same time!
And then the main motor on the other died.
(on both, I opened them up and the brushes were worn out. There was black dust all over that looked like burned up brushes/commutator. The motors are kind of cool in that the rotor is hollow and the magnets are inside the coils, rather than outside!) .
Perhaps you noticed that the "New V911" has a different means of attaching the tail boom. Appears to be some type of retaining clip.

I made a brief attempt at opening a failed main motor on my first V911... didn't get very far. Doesn't sound like I'd probably had any luck at repair it anyway. How in the WORLD did you pry open all those retaining divots?

I think it may just be production tolerances, I got one that is close to what it is suppose to be, while yours is at the other end of the tolerances. I would be interested to see just how many of the V911s here have the same problem as yours. There aren't even any sort of wear marks on the bottom of my swash or the top of the collar of mine.
The raised edge on the collar goes down..against the bearing....

First, I wan't planning on putting it back together.
If you're planning on putting it back together, you might want to go with a more subtle approach.

I pried off the pinion gear.

Then I held the motor body with pliers, shaft downward and whacked it on a 2x4.
The whole guts fly out across the room...

Yep. One of the two V911's I got actually came with the collar upside down. Sloppy.

Never taken mine apart, but I know about bearing races and how they work
I have never had a reason to take apart the head or main shaft because mine has run great from day one other than a few small operator incidents

I decided on the BNF for $20 from banggood to use as a primary and I'll use the heli I purchased here as a parts heli.

Also, can someone point me to the flybar paddle mod ?

My two 'new V911s' came the other day with a replacement motor for my old one.
I guess I'll have it flying again tomorrow. Maybe the day after tomorrow. Or the one after that... I'm just having too much fun flying one of the NEW ones!

EDITED TO ADD :: Do NOT order LiPo's at the same time as BnF's! It was no big deal when they shipped in the small cardboard boxes. BUT, unless you request a different packaging method, they WILL squeeze the batteries in one of the styrofoam cut-outs WITH a v911.
That did not work out very well for me.

I love your black & gold JBS canopy!! It's an obvious take-off of the famous John Player Special (JPS) livery of the Lotus F1 racing team!!

I am a huge fan of F1 racing and Lotus in particular!! Besides flying rc helis such as the V911 and the MJX-F45, I also race Formula One rc cars.

One I am working on currently. Need to check my continuity then make the plugs to connect to the Triton.

The wires are super glued and run through the clothes pin where they are bent to make contact to battery.
