I wonder how they did that. Maybe a printed transfer. Would be some work to spray.

I'm still sort of working on it. Got called away, so didn't have time to clean the paint out of my airbrush. So now its not spraying good. I'll have to clean it.

Decided to go with a darker color on top, I think I'll keep it lighter on bottom. I think I'll do most of the details with a brush, rather than the airbrush.
Getting close. Will add a little more detail, and need to do the taileron linkages. Found a 10 gram lighter lipo, I'll see if it can put out enough power. I think the CG will be great with the lighter lipo, will see. I'll get some better pictures before I fly it.
Made up linkages, soldered ends on.

It's done now.
For securing the tailerons, I drilled down the center of the carbon tube with a dremel. Then super glued a screw in. After the CA setup, I removed the screw, leaving threads. Used needle nose pliers to tighten the screws after assembly. I needed to lubricate the carbon rod with graphite from a pencil lead, since it was grabbing the shrinkwrap I used for the pivot tube.
The weather is not great here, so will wait for a dry field. I'll try and find a decent camera, for some better pictures before I fly it.

Thanks.
I'm not sure how I'm going to launch it. Its fairly flat so hard to hold onto. I think a little sandpaper glued on for grips might work. Don't want to dork a first launch. Might hold the wing tip for a discus launch.
Looks like snow for the weekend. So maybe towards the end of next week, the field may dry out.

Looking for a good dry field. Sometimes I go to the Ronney road soccer field.

With a 400mah Hyperion 35c 2 cell its weight came in at 104.5 grams. I had a hard time measuring thrust. Holding the F22 it is almost weightless at full thrust. So must be close to 1 to 1, thrust to weight. After some playing around tonight, I think it will be easy to launch, since it wants to fly out of my hand. Probably will be some short flights with only 400mah though.
