3dhs is coming to a flyin that is to close to me. I am sure by the end of next month I will be itching for another one.

My red SHP looks sick! I'm too lazy to put her together tonight so i'll wait till the morning to do that. It will fit nicely with my buck huck. Now it's time to save up for the next plane

What were your previous planes before this one?

Im curious about your "progression" as i am also considering and SHP for my first proper 3D and first Balsa plane.

I know you didn't ask me but I'll toss in my 2 cents worth. I started with the Parkzone planes T-28, P-51 Mustang, Wildcat, etc. My first 3DHS plane was the silver buck huck, then the SHP. The SHP is a wonderful plane but I would take a good luck at the buck huck as well.

I have been flying a t-28, kyosho red bull 540, twisted hobbies crack yak, and some of parkzones um planes.

I am currently flying a PZ extra 300 and a HK 55inch Firenza F3A style plane

I love them both but they both have there faults
I cant help but listen to all the great things that are said about the 3DHS planes and i am keen to sample it for myself.

One of the reasons i would prefere a SHP over the Buck Huck is the additional size. It would be right between the Extra and the Firenza.

Don't have this plane yet as I went with the 48 EPP Extra instead, but I guess my previous planes are still relevant. Re-entered the hobby last year with the Parkzone T-28, and have since bought a few of their newer warbirds and some UMs including the UMX Sbach 342 which I guess you could count as my first flat wing symmetrical aerobatic plane.

The 47 SHP was my first balsa plane. I flew helis for awhile, then picked up a cheap foam plane that was really flexible, then got the 47. I never flew that foam plane again after I got the 47. It's a great plane to learn with, and it's pretty durable. I still have my 47, but I haven't flown it as often since I got an 87 SHP.

Finished the build earlier today and it looks great. I used the 65mgs all the way around. Did anyone use the phenolic pong arm servo horns? If you did which hole did you end up using?

I used the 3dhs phenolic arms, 2nd from the outermost hole for all surfaces (although mine is a V3, so not pull-pull rudder).
