The AR6400 is about all I used from the UM planes. Other parts come from BSD. When you visit in spring look me up, I should be around, I hope. Keep Them Flying ! Your friend, Ken************************************************** ** Quote:
I really like your comparison. " For the price of a burger and a couple pops I could be flying off most of the puddles around here! " Yes, I think BSD has done a great job trying to keep the consumers cost down to reasonable on all their products. Keep Them Flying ! I'm sure it would look good on a Michigan lake. My video was in a almost dry Missouri pond. I think your correct about the first lot going quickly. Keep Them Flying ! Your friend, Ken************************************************* Quote:

Puddles, et al
Those specs give a great wing cubed loading of just over 5! (Assuming your weight includes the flight battery.)
The hull cross section and simple lines are what reminded me of my Puddlemaster, particularly your shots from beneath the fuselage, but you raised the horizontal stab and tripled up the vertical stabs. Nice, I just may have to build it when Bob makes the kit available. Ken, you ought to post a link to this thread over on the Waterplanes forum. Dick |

I posted a link on the Waterplane forum yesterday at 10:39 A.M. So far, no one there seems to be interested at all. Never know what will float ones boat. Keep Them Flying ! Your friend, Ken

Yes, BSD has finally got the "Triton Seaplane" up on his web site at : http://www.bsdmicrorc.com/index.php?categoryID=43 Gear Box : GWJ 7mm 4:1 ratio Motor : BSD SS Black 1.1 ohm Prop : GWS EP-3030 The Motor and Prop is not up on the BSD site as of yet, but he does have them, just ask. The difference in the Black motor is the ohms. Keep Them Flying ! Your friend, Ken

Hi! Ken,
I was browsing various threads and came across your post on AeroBat - a cute little model. I know BSD (?) markets it but any chance you could point me towards any build thread and or plan? I really would love to build this little beauty but may be slightly bigger version (with your permission, of course Sir, )Cheers

Ken,
For obvious reasons, suggest you put the following (your words) into post #1 of this thread and also onto the BSD site under your airplane: Triton Prototype Specs Wingspan : 16 inches Length : 11 3/4 inches Wing Area : 46.7 Sq. inches Wing Loading w/Battery : 0.7002 Grams per Sq. inch Weight : 28.6 Gram w/ Trim & Paint Gear Box : GWJ 7mm 4:1 ratio Motor : BSD SS Black 1.1 ohm Prop : GWS EP-3030 Receiver : AR6400 2.4 gHz Battery : 1S Li-Poly 160 mAh, weight 4.1 Gram Gene K |

Great idea, the specification are somewhere in the pages of this thread. But like you said, they really need to be on the first post. Glad you thought of that for me. (Correction) I am not bad mouthing BSD or Bob. I know sometime it is impossible for him to get everything done. But, I will thy to spur him on as often as possible. ( Ha! Ha! ) Keep Them Flying !
