Blackheart: Just chalk it up to " not knowing" its really not a big deal. But now ya know. Its how we all learn in here.

We have a guy at our club who was talking about selling his 450 and getting a 600. He was like I'm going to sell my 450 for $400, that will put a dint in my new 600 build. Now I work on this 450 and I wouldn't pay $100 for it. The whole thing needs to be overhauled. The bearings are all shot. It's 3 years old and has been crashed more times than I can count. Before he started having me fix it half of it was put together wrong. The thing is just worn out crap.

He will most likely sell it for close to what he is asking. Why? because fools are born every day. I could never do this! Most people don't know how much these cost. I would see people come in all the time with crap they bought when I worked at the lhs. I did quickly learn to not degrade them and just keep my mouth shut and tell them what it would cost to fix it if I could even still get the parts. Then maybe steer them towards a better new kit.

Everyone’s perception of good quality, A1 condition or "like new" is different.

I dont think anyone here was trying to degrade anyone.. More like we were all just stating our opinions & the obvious.

I want to be able to put the nuts on my servo arms for extra security. So, can someone help me out with getting the right Align Servo ball links?

FBL setup
HK500 kit with the RJX FBL head & Align DS510 with F horns. - ?

FB setup
HK500 kit & MG930’s with stock horns. – I think this is Align #HN6052 – Ball Link A

I am confused by the question? Are you wanting the links or the balls? or the nuts?

YEP80 finally arrived. Going to install later tonight. The governor setup still confuses me.

Sorry. Balls that screw into the servo arms (horns).

The Align one's have longer threads that you can use nuts with.

All the manuals I know of (YEP is a clone of YGE as you probably know):

I use freewheel off (not sure if freewheel on is hard on the OWB), gov store, the rest are defaults except for cell count & heli middle for start speed (Edit: and brake off of course ). I've messed around with timing, PWM and startup power, but defaults are fine for me with the motors I use.

Yes do get the programmer. The instructions are either poorly translated or it's almost impossible to program without it lol!

Quick question..what head speed should I run on my 500esp..? I think I might be running too much.

Mine is about 2700 - 2750. Measured once though on the ground , I run a gov, so it is probably closer to 2600 with the YEP. Let me DL the last flights from the 1st 500 heli with the CC & 12T. I just fly it mainly and don't worry much about numbers now.

I have been running 2900 and it feels great to me but twice already with the TH-Hobby carbon blades from Hobby Cool I lost the tip weight from a blade. I haven't tried gov mode on the YEP because I don't have the program card.

So yeah, about 2600 governed. Flies well for me. 2900 sounds a bit fast, especially with weights flying out of the blades and such

The 500 ESP is not designed to run that fast. You are severely overdriving the tail and risking a thrown tail grip or main blade grip. The 500 Pro can run at 3000rpm because they beefed up the head and changed the gear ratio on the tail to keep the tail rpm sane at at the higher headspeed. I still wouldn't use cheap blades on a 500 Pro because they are likely made for maximum RPM of the 500 ESP.

Anyone know what the proper PWM frequency and timing is for the SK3 1600kv on a YEP ESC?
