Damn that was fast
Got it today Bob...THANKS!
Hard to imagine that this thin stuff will actually work...never seen Depron before...pretty stout stuff for being so thin. Probably gonna end up building up the canopy and cockpit area with something more solid, meaning more scale in appearance. Just gonna have to see how it goes with the 30mm EDF's I plan on installing and what it does to the CG...by all rights, it should need more weight up front after that anyway.
Just so you know, it may be a little while before I can get building this one as I have 2 other (EPO) kits ahead of it, but wanted to get it while it was available and start sourcing other parts needed to complete it.
Either way, I still can't get over how thin this stuff is.
Just put some tape in the ARMPITS -
the areas where the wings rub the top and bottom fuse sheeting.
Just to slippery it up.
I used some thin ply on the BOSS's to "spacer" the top sheeting away just a bit also.
Build it light and it'll be fast with wings back and docile and slow with wings out.
This has been a great design since 2006.
Good luck with your build.
