OD ,CoG positions

Hi all, I can sort out CoG positions for models with conventional wings etc. But I have a problem with flat wing Depron Delta type shapes of my own design. I have read somewhere that a glide test can be used with these lightweight models using Blue Tack or similar to trim an empty model for a long flat glide. Any info on this will be gratefully received. Cheers

You can even make a cardboard (or plywood) cutout the same shape of your model to do a glide test. You'd have to add a vertical stabilizer too. This way you won't have to worry about breaking your model.

It hekps to know , Deltas CG are a little farther forwards then you might think, depends on sweep of wing design but test it out starting off what you may think it looks like being nose heavy.

I think that,s good advice Lucky. Built a foamy from a plan once, 12 inch cord. CoG on plan was 1 1/2 inches out. Dead lucky to save it. Should have known better. LoL.
