I take it that the price of $179.99 does not include motors, esc's, etc? Just kit and hardware?

That is correct...it is the ARF kit only, no servos, electronics or motors. Marketed just like the Catalina they did, only at a higher price.

Finally, Had to come to the last freaking page of this Thread to figure out the price and estimated date of availability.

I sure like to see OP post this on the first post at the beginning of the thread as Tower does not have any hint of this model coming or any specifications available. I searched and searched and nothing....

Hum, it is going to be a real hard choice....I will wait to see it up close and in person before I pulled the trigger on this one because there is presently so many selections out there right now!

Wow...three whole pages to get through...must have been grueling...

Lots of new airplane threads start out without the price and date, and we all know the dates are elastic.

When the kit was first announced, the price and date were not available, then.

The official price and date were only annouced in the last few days.

The kit specs were posted on the Electrifly web link in the first post, as far as measurements and equipment and such:

SPECIFICATIONS
Stock Number: GPMA1151
Wingspan: 51 in (1295mm)
Wing Area: 373 in2 (24.1dm2)
Weight: 4-4.5 lb (1810-2040 g)
Wing Loading: 25-28 oz/ft2 (76-85g/dm2)
Length: 36 in (915mm)
Requires: Radio system with a minimum of 4-channels; 4 micro servos; (2) 28-30-950kV outrunner motors; (2) 25 amp ESCs; (1) 3500mAh 3S 11.1V LiPo battery

In a perfect world, the OP would go back and update his first post with the info, but I see no sign we live in a perfect world.

Patience is a virtue.

Thayer, In the video it appears it was dead calm with no wind at all. Had there been some wind I'm guessing the G-44 would not have come in for landings so fast. Agree? That is one sweet looking / flying airplane. It looks and flies better than the Catalina! Dang, I guess it's time to get the credit card out! That is one, nice, little pond and please don't tell us your backyard is on the lake! I so wish that was my situation!
