Hi all new to the forum just been clearing out my loft and found my dads old sailing boat up there must of been there 30 odd years if not longer I remember it as a kid. It was covered in dust .cleaned her up and she still looks very good ,was hardly ever used as he was more into r/c planes ect. The thing is I would like to sail her once again any advise I know I need a radio and some new servos again need some advise as I would like to keep it as original as I can .Also trying to identify which model it is Thanks all

That old sail winch looks to be a beast....

This is a clever way to connect the sheets to the winch loop!!

A Mc Gregor receiver and what appears to be a drum winch, now that's some very early electronics.I only go back as far as the Probar winches and I did have a Soling 50 that came with the original vortex winch that was as heavy as the boat and could probably lift it up both arm winches.Never seen nothing like that gear though, however the boat don't look that old.

Have a couple of 1/2 meters from Reynolds Mnf which have something similar in them but not exactly. First time I have seen one like that. Must be home made. Very interesting. Love the blocks.

Radios these days are cheap go on Hobby King USA wharehouse they have an orange radio for $60 ideal. If you can't get the winch to work several drum winches are available, the good ones aren't so cheap.I have a hitec drum winch I would give you if needed slow as a snail but powerful and reliable best price in town free+postage.
