My Homemade Quadrocopter (Video)

My Homemade Quadrocopter (2 min 24 sec)


It is flown by my testpilot, which is quite a chicken. He freaks out at the end of the test

Frame is 14x14cm 1mm aluminum plates, HK450 tail booms, CopterX 450 tail blocks and Mini Titan landing skids.
Motors is http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=5686 with 10x4.7 APC slowflyer props. Turnigy Plush 18A ESC
Radio is Futaba 6EX with R606FS reciever.
Weight is 834g.
Size is 78cm.

That has got to be the best quad video I've seen yet! All the rest are boring vids of hovering quads. But yours...there's drama, suspense, action and of course humor. Thanks for the laugh.

hi everyone, indeed nice work, but i have a cuple of questions as i am new to this stuff, are there some kind of calculations to choose your motors and blades size? and if u please tell me what kind of batteries u used.

I use Turnigy 3S 1800mAh.
About motors and propellers, there is a lot information in this forum

I have added light to the quadrocopter for better visibility and orientation. White in front becouse that is easy since cars have white light in front, and the 3 other green. The light is 0.5m Hobbycity LED strips wrapped around the booms.
