BD-5 epo 1500mm

Hi folks

has anyone had anything to do with one of these?
reference has been made to the Skywalker, from the same manufacturer I think i read somewhere...

I'd love to know more about these, so any insight would be well appreciated... or if someone could post a link to some info... i've searched to no avail

http://www.bevrc.com/bd5-epothe-choi...ond-p-256.html

Quoted from BEVRC...
"A world famous high performance single-place, low-wing, pusher-configuration sport plane----BD5, now we have the special designed EPO version.

If you have skywalker and like it, we assure you will like BD5 too, according to our flying experience, the BD5 flies like a charm, stable as skywalker, but have a better glider performance, and do aerobatic much easier.

Huge internal room, enough payload make it the best competitor of skywalker as the best planes.

What's more, easy to find the motor and battery, according to our test, with a motor 2215 kv1400, 8060 prop, 30A ESC, 2* 2200mah 3s lipo in parallel, cruise current is only 5A, 40 mins flight time is easy to get. The kit includes a customed landing gears with turning structure, you can get the best experience of real plane from taking off to landing."

thanks all!

Looks like a fun plane just for sport flying. I like the video that's posted- shall we say an "interesting" place to fly!

yuppers, but given the references made to the Skywalker I am kinda curious to get it, see what it really is like... I was really hoping someone might have already taken the plunge so I could get some feedback on it first, i'm tired of buying planes that end up being expensive duds

and yes... very "interesting" place to fly lol

My bro was ordering the SkyWalker from BEV so to make up the order and get it over the $200 for free shipping I decided to order a BD5 with a view to getting in to FPV (couple of guys I fly with already do it).

It was only ordered yesterday (coming to the UK) but BEV are usually pretty good at getting things here in decent time.

Once I've got it here and set up (although possibly without FPV kit to start with) I'll happily come back and let you know what I think and/or answer any questions and pass on the opinion of the plane from the guys who already fly FPV.

in panic i just ran out to the shed to check mine lol
mine are left/right as should be...
if mine were to have been the same issue (2 of the same wings), i was thinking i'd get a pair of cessna wings and make them fit.
I have an e-Do 1500mm Cessna and the wings are exactly the same length, but a little wider, so I'd think the wing loading would be a little more improved... also you'd have ails AND flaps

i am so sorry for you mate, seems there is no support whatsoever with these planes... kinda surprises me considering I heard these bd5's are made from the SkyWalker manufacturer

seriously, continue to contact the vendor, but if all else fails, and vendor & manufacturer will not assist, if you have any experience in mild foamie mods, i would seriously consider the cessna wings
unless someone else has a better idea
I'm sure e-Do have spares
E-DO MODELS, this is the plane i have, although she has seen many flying hours

here's one set of replacement wings i found

Thanks my friend

The seller (Lowpricerc) did respond to my email .... but

"Dear Sir,

We will then forward your picture to supplier and get the correct replacement for you.
Sorry for the inconvenience."

keep on to them, you may have a chance to having a replacement wing sent to you... and hopefully they wont send the same wing again

good luck mate
