3d try 720p@30fps

Quadcopter HD32 II 3d try (2 min 4 sec)

The jello is still pretty bad, but like Renatoa said: It's best to keep the camera level with the horizon, then it probably will be a whole lot better. That's for next test, it was angeled at ~ 30 degrees down now.
The color is pretty much spot on I have to say. Conditions were overcast and it just had rained.

Thanks, very useful video, in this one I did not see any drop of brightness at the edges, that's good.

RD32ii Arrived today.

Of course, it is blowing a bit much for the Raidan, so it won't be airborne today....

That said, I tried all the functions and it seems to be "as advertised". I'll get something posted from on high soon.

Here are a few clips during our overcast day.

RD32ii First Impression.wmv (2 min 58 sec)

The clips go right in to Windows movie maker without having to be translated like the Canon .mov files. They also display great on the Archos 101 tablet, if you stay 720 or under.

Guys,

Have a look at this one. Really shows the capability of the camera.

Looks really good. I think what everyone would love to see is a direct comparison to the gopro in the same conditions. But I suppose most peop[le will buy this because of the price, and therefore are unlikely to have a gopro lol.

The #11 keychain has multiple downs compared to what we are talking about, like not being full HD, having poor low light performance, that wild changing color balance and maybe other things that others may point out. edit: also lacks AV out

Browsed on youtube:
RD32II Test flight #2 (5 min 7 sec)

What I like is that the blue is blue really, but I don't know, the green is not how I think it should be. Everything except the colours is as good or better than the GoPro.

Definitely a direct GoPro comparison would clear things up, because the GoPro colours are well proven.

I was going to oppose to that at first, but that was before I saw the movie that paxfish just posted, which more or less confirms what you say.
Blue is deep blue, green is brown-ish under circumstances, but not under all circumstances. The last movie I posted was in overcast conditions and then the green grass is perfect. Under sunny conditions however, well we've seen that. I guess it's confirmed by now :-)

Indeed we're still waiting for a head on comparison with the reference cam, the GoPro.

Thanks for the vids again. To me the greens look good.

For instance this is a gopro video where the greens look dull, But I think it's just that they really look like that.

In paxfisahes vid there though the vignetting is really noticable again. Maybe the lens/lens mount can be changed.

Yes, when there is no blue or sun in the frame the green looks quite natural, which seems odd because the green should look even more vivid when there is mainly blue because of the compensation. Guess the effect is also liked to luminosity...

Maybe the automatic white balance of this camera was tuned for other scenario, like underwater

Makes sense. Would that be tunable with firmware?
