What went wroooong!!!!!!!!!!!!

I been flying on this set up all sumer recently i order a turnugy nano tech 1000mah 25-50 c 4s whent out to the field and this happend dont know why Did the battery was to much for the esc ?

Is that esc rated for 4 cell? Don't think my hobbywing is.

If you flew all summer on 3 cell, and just tried 4 cell, that is what happened! Lucky you didn't start a brush fire.

I had an ESC did that too once. Saw smoke from the airplane as it was flying, brought it down through some trees because I was over dry brush, and the ESC was completely destroyed! I still thank the dear Lord that it stayed together long enough to get the plane out from over the brush area!

You have to check the ESC specs before you increase the voltage (number of cells). Same thing if you're going to be drawing more amps with a different power set-up...

Freddy, that's why I use a separate BEC - even if the ESC fries, you still have control. (Or if you can afford the weight, a separate RX battery is the safest).
