The Hummbee 150" bluecor 3 piece wing

Well guys, with all the rain in sunny Florida and some time available. I decide to build something similar to the hump wing but some useful things from the queen bee wing. I hope to have her finished in another week or so. Will use carbon fiber arrows on the outer pieces and .021 OD cf for main section to lock on place. Quick release pins will help with transport. Main section has a wingspan of 90" and each other section at 30". Hope to balance her on 2 4s 3200mah packs with a 36mm motor in the back. Here are pictures of the hump and queen bee. Also some of the cut pieces already. Templates have been made in case it does fly good.

I am concerned about this loading in any vehicle. This center piece at 90" is huge. I just didn't want the other pieces to have too much load on them.

More updated pics. Ribs will be 1/2" and not The template ones. Also adding
A thin piece of plywood, sandwiched in the center square.

Finally got a chance to do more work on the wing. Made some mistakes on the sections that detach. Had to redo a few things but happy so far. Motor might be on L bracket or cut dead center.

More updates. Will be under 3lbs by far without electronics. Expected flying
Weight is at 6-7lbs. Thrust is at 9.5lbs thanks to 6s and a nice size prop. Yes there will be a maiden video. Hopefully in one week is maiden.

Before I tape the crap out of it. Paint comes first. Bottom still has painters tape but will be orange, original blue and purple. Lipos have been ordered, 1 servo missing out of 4 ordered. All hitec 81's and 85's. Just need the pusher prop 14x8.5 and all set.

Maiden wing today. Lesson learned, too much flex in the wing. Looked like a bird. Just cause some Have done it, doesnt mean you will. Haven't given up but, that size on foam is a lot. Will recycle most parts into next project.

Good try. I have been pondering a similar effort, but have to figure out how to stiffen the wing without excessive weight gain.

I'm considering aluminum C or L's at full length. I can still add another 2lbs and be 1-1 ratio.
