F-104 Starfighter Park Jet

Ive just done the maiden flight with a F-104 Starfighter.
The wingspan is ~77cm and shes ~185cm long. Thats 1/9th scale.
AUW with 3200 kokam 3s1p, mega 16/15/2 and 4x3 camslimprop is 930g.
She is flying very good!

So, I just finished the plans in pdf

THXs so much!! Here are pictures from the building time.
It was fun for me to build the F-104 and its fun to fly her!

32 years ago, this F-104 was my first MATCHBOX 1/72th scale plastic plane.
Ive thrown this 1/72th scale plane through the air and was wondering
how a Starfighter can fly!! NOW I KNOW! ITS ONLY THE C/G in right position, enough power and THE LIGHT WEIGHT!!

We have a nice hobby!!

HJ,
What can I say? You are absolutely amazing! You take a difficult to fly subject ( I know from experience) and make it look easy! That was a great maiden.
Geez.....another HJ model to build now. But look at all the fun we're having!

PS Hans, where is your battery placement?

Thank you boys! With this F-104, an old dream came true for me!!!

The battery position is in the plans [3s1p3200lipo].
You can find the c/g and battery position in the plan-view.

The motor is getting his air this way:

You gonna change your nickname to HJF? (Hans Jet Factory )

You've got quite an impressive lineup of models now!

WOW!! GREAT job, HJ! That model looks and flies great. I never would have thought an F-104 model could ever float it in for landing so slowly and softly, but your model certainly does. I love the metal tape finish, too!

Excellent work Hans. And thanks for the plans.

I've been wanting to build an F-104 for the longest time. This is pure motivation.
