AJ, the paper has it's title at the top left "APC 7X6e prop" I did change the wording on 'lettering' to say "Non ACP props may have the letters on the other side"

Bigger external diameter should be as size of "X" mount plate of YOUR motor. Then you need to cut unneccessary length from bigger side. Be ready that CG will be moved backward. I put almost all washers back in nose as I haven't extra electronics even with 2200mah battery.

Plumbing - Water usually. But, it could be used for many liquids.

Stock clevises are weak - to be replaced ASAP (IMHO).
Stock push rods are much thiner then 2mm. May be just 1.
The thread freely going into clevises designed for 2mm rods.
You can try glue them inside or (as I did) replace stock ones on 2mm steel threaded rods. They should be screwed inside the clevis with amount of pressure.

That is a great price since it includes everything including the brushless motor. It is probably an older version 2 or 3 but they are still great planes. I got the version 2 with the brushless motor from BH about 2 years ago. It cost me $150 then.

I got the original Sky Surfer RTF about 2.5 years ago and still fly it weekly.
I think I paid about the same.

Hey All,

Just ordered a SkySurfer from RMRC and the outrunner pod from smallpartscnc. I'm going to load it up with FPV and autopilot/telemetry, etc...

My trusty easystar lost the rudder servo in flight and absolutely augered into the ground from 100ft.

I have the 2200kv inrunner from HK that was in the ez, a 850kv outrunner from a quad, and the 1200kv Ritewing OEM motor from my ZII that had a good life and quick death.

I'd like to know if the ritewing motor swinging an 8x6 or so would just be too much for a loaded down SkySurfer? I think the 850kv would be a bit of a slug, but the 2200kv inrunner worked OK in the loaded down ez using a 6x4. I was using a 3s 2600mah lipo in the ez, and planned on using a similar battery in the SS.

I appreciate your opinions!

I have the same 1200kv ritewing motor but use a 10x6 prop on my ZII with 3S batteries. I don't think an 8x6 prop would fit your SS. You need to go smaller 6x4 which then means more rpm or kv for the motor. 1200kv may not be enough.
