I am assuming That I need to disable one of the power wires from one of the speed controls before I run this thing. It doesn't say in the instructions. Anybody

I never got a close look at one, but, and this is just opinion, if you can look at the PCB, if the +ve pins from the ESC connections are commoned, it would probably be good practice to disconnect what is the spare feed from the BEC not powering the system. If you can't see the PCB track side, testing with a resistance meter should show if they are linked or not.
It was possibly designed with the use of a separate RX pack in mind, so BEC equipped ESCs might not have been considered when the instructions were being written. Again, just a guess.

I thought JJC was out of business, or am I wrong? I can't find their website.

For safety disable one of the ESC center pins before you apply power so that the two BEC do not fight each other and damage both ESCs!.

As a rule of thumb, I would disable both BECís in the speed controls and use a separate receiver battery supply or a single BEC, running off the main power batteries, with a higher amp output to the receiver. This way you will not have to worry about not having enough power to run the receiver, servos, and what ever accessories you want to put on board.

This is more than likely the best way to do this. I did talk to harbor models (who used to sell the JJC MKII and he said yes you have to disconnect one of the bec wires on one of the speed controls) But thanks everyone for their help
