Just like the title says. Who's bringing FPV gear and flying? What band are you on (900Mhz, 5.8Ghz, 1.2/3Ghz)? FPV Plane, Heli, Multirotor? Post your gear/photos if you like and lets all get together while we're there.

I will be bringing my Windrider Queen Bee- 100" wing:

1.2 1000mW lawmate
Futaba 9c on DragonLink
GoPro HD
Fatshark Doms

Pretty simple setup.
Likely the only time I will feel comfortable flying this will be early morning before anyone is up, or after the event is over on Sunday. Aparently the 1.2 interferes with everyone's 2.4 radios so I do not want to knock anyone out of the air...

I sent a message to Matt and I'm going to try to see if we can get an organized setup in place for FPV'ers based on freq and stuff.

HansAuf,

We already have a spot set up for FPV. Kevin Heins is the first to start this. We want to post the times that FPV will happen and announce it over the pa.

Ah, good deal. I did not see a thread for this. Is it in another section?

Hans,

You're in it. All discussion about FPV should be here.

Gotcha. I read "We already have a spot set up for FPV. Kevin Heins is the first to start this." and thought you meant a designated thread. Not a physical spot.

Hans,

I do have a good idea where I want to put the FPV. The new lay out is new for us too. After I get down there and see how it's going to work out. Find me, or Kevin for the spot.

I have a 900mhz setup for my Radian with pan and tilt and Fatshark goggles. Although I may move my stuff to another bird, perhaps my Rascal, or maybe my Slowbipe.

Hope some of you FPVers will be willing to talk about your systems and teach me. I've been wanting to set up one of these but I feel like I did 20+ years ago getting into RC. There is so much information I don't know where to start.

absolutely. Look for the tall guy with red hair...I'll let you fly under the goggles if you want. That should get you hooked a little quicker

I think you'll find most FPV'ers to be more than willing to share the knowledge and take you for a ride.

Matt
FPV is like RC Crack! You'll look through the goggles one time and the next thing you know you are talking to people about polarized antennas and ground station setups.
