Thanks PF for turning me on to that prop adapter. That would be much better than a collet.

The 400 and 470 were the same price and same weight. The 400 was on backorder and the 470 in stock. I do plan on going conservative on the prop selection.

When you say in front of the servos do you mean right in front of them, like over the spar tube, or further forward like more in the tank tunnel?

Heres my messy battery location for a ref, velcro seatbelts hold it in. Ignore the rats nest, lol.

Hope that helps,

Brian

Thanks, Brian, that certainly is right in front of the servos. So it looks like the receiver is in the traditional tank area.

That's interesting, because with an Evolution 15cc gas engine, I had the tank on the CG and up under the canopy area I had the Rx, power board and two 2100mah LiFe's.

Come to think of it, the previous owner of this Pawnee had a .50 glow in it and he had his Rx battery back in a tail hatch. So it seems like this has a natural tendency to be a little nose heavy.

Sure, no problem, it's raining here now so no flying.

Hanger 9 updated the CG location due to the Pawnee being a bit nose heavy, its 65-83mm now. I was spot on the 83mm CG with my setup, using a 782 g battery, Robarts 1/4 scale cub LG and Dubro 4.25" big wheels. I just changed the tires to 4" inflatable Dubros, that are heavier than the foam core ones i was using, so im very nose heavy now, but she still flys great.

My rx is near the servos. The rats nest is a Graupner general engine mod with a 6 cell lipo balancer board for real time telemetry on each cell voltage back to my transmitter. The Talon 90 ESC was kicking in its cutoff warning at + 20% of the target voltage i set it for using the castle link. I kept setting it lower and lower, but still had issues. Soooo i spent the extra money for the telemetry module and disabled the cutoff on the ESC. Im getting 15-17 min on my TP packs with a new best of 18.20. I also have a scorpion backup lipo adding to the rats nest. Its not pretty in there but it works, lol.

I will post a pic of my lipo location. On the 400vs. 470.... 70kv doesn't sound like much but it's
a lot.

Hope this helps. Lipo is a GensAce 6s4600. No added weight.
