Fat shark Attitudes vs Dominators

Hello all,

I'm planning on upgrading my Teleporter v4 goggles in the near future. For me, the FOV is almost too small to fly by. It seems too far away.

I've narrowed things down to the Fatshark Attitudes or Dominators. What do you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

John

I just went through this same debate (assuming you're looking at v2's for both). In the end, I went with the Dominator v2's.

They're definitely the nicer product between the two, but for roughly the same price, you get a complete kit when going with the Attitude v2's.

I have 3 goggles:
- Fatshark Base SD
- Fatshark Attitude
- Fatshark Dominator V2

I personally love the base SD goggles. They fit well and feel "right" but you need an external RX.

I am not a huge fan of the attitude as you are locked in to 5.8ghz and they do not feel as good as the Base.

The Dominator V2 have a more colourful display and you can change the RX from 5.8, 2.4 or 1.3 ghz and you get a DVR built in. I find them a slightly better fit and feel than the Attitude.

HelloNello, how different is the FOV size between the Attitudes and Dominators? Like, is there a big difference between the two when you look through them?

Thank you, HelloNello and SubEclipse! I was leaning towards the Attitudes, but now I'm leaning towards Dominators.

Can you be more specific? I have the BaseSD and considering upgrading to attitudes, i thought they had almost the same profile. Is it the weight?

Thank you for the comparison. I'm still torn... What about my iPad Mini? How far would I have to hold it away from me to simulate the Dominator v2's and Attitude v2's?

Oh, and congrats on being here for 10 years TODAY!

The Attitude V2 have a bigger fov then the Dominator V2 and they have I think the same lens ?
Cost less then the Dominators and come with receiver and head tracking already..
You don't have to buy modules for receiver and head tracking..

the attitudes seem like a great deal.

I am torn on what to buy right now as well.

can't really find many reviews on the attitudes.

PS - unless RMRC is wrong they also state 35_FOV for V2 doms

EDIT

FS page does say 32 POV

Could also be considered as "you don't get to buy modules..." I personally like the modular design as it doesn't lock you into 5.8GHz if you don't choose to do so.

I'd suggest a trip down to the hobby store... in my case, I was able to take a look through both models and make my own decision. For me, the selling points of the Dominator V2's over the Attitude V2's were:

-Modular design = I can run whatever Rx I want.
-DVR
-Build quality (don't get me wrong, the Attitudes are nice, but they're not on par with the Dominator V2's).
-Picture clarity was a bit sharper, and colors were more vibrant on the Dominators.

That being said, you'll be happy with either choice... they're both really nice.

Thanks. I can't really go to the hobby store since the closest one is 45 minutes away and has NO FPV gear at all. One that should have he FPV gear is around 2 hours away...

--------------------

Thanks everyone for helping me decide. I'll think about it some more over the weekend. I'm really leaning towards the Dominators, but I still like the larger FOV of the Attitudes. I like the modular design o the Doms, but the all-in-one-ness of the Attitudes is appealing...

Do the Dominators have glass optics or plastic? I thought they had glass, but the below link says that they are plastic...

I think they switched back to plastic as some were getting blurry images
