Thanks for the interests guys.
I don't actually have a drawn up plan yet. I just use my instinct and started cutting the aluminium tubes (TV antennas I got from electrical shop)to length. The ripstop kite is a exact copy of the Kyosho GP Autokite 1.
The trickiest part was getting the correct angle of attack from the kite. I finally got it right after the 3rd flight.
The original Kyosho weights in at 1500g all up. This one only weights about 1350g with 2x 2200mah lipo in parallel and another 1300mah battery for VTX.
It only uses 3 channels for control so I get to use the rudder channel for panning and the gear channel for tilting the camera..
The light wing load makes it a graceful and relaxing FPV platform. It levels itself quite nicely after a turn. The best part is I don't have to worry about it suddenly fall out of the sky like my multi-rotors...
I might draw up the plan and post it here when I have the time. And videos too.
