Question
EDF advice required for next large build

Evening all.

I am gathering together the plans and required components for my next large scale depron build. It will be a 76" Vickers Valiant to go with my Vulcan.

The Vulcan was a pusher prop config, but I was thinking of doing EDF's for this build. I am expecting a 5lb AUW, no retracts, hand/bungee launch, belly land, and should have around 2.5" - 3" space for the EDF's and tubes. I have seen the 50mm Dr Mad Thrust EDF's on the HK site, but will four of these be enough for the expected 5lb AUW? I guess the more fan blades the better thrust as these are 10 bladed units against the HK cheapies of 6 or 7 blades?

If I have forgotten something which is obvious to you EDF guys, please tell me.

I'd shop around and look at different brands.

Here's a thread on the 50mm Dr Mad Thrust EDF's, suggested reading!

After much searching here and elsewhere I decided I'd have peace of mind and an empty wallet,so went with these

They will supply a 3mm adapter if needed.

I already have this pinned to my favourites. It will be a major source of help and inspiration!

I just been on the website for the fans, do you have to buy the rotor and the fan unit separately? If so then they will be out of my price range as I need four.
Many thanks
