Question
Suppo rewind

anyone out their messed with any suppo motors? I just dug into one and believe they used some stinkin glue on the wire, so looks like a hopeless case, know anything g about that?

I did a 2212/13 not long ago. Completely tore it down, took out the magnets, separated the bell and sliced out the magnet keys, and rebuilt it as a 12N8P speed motor with an ABC wind.

I think the windings in mine were glued pretty hard, but the right tools and a bit of patience will usually win out. Of course it varies from batch to batch and even from motor to motor, so yours might be much easier or it could be flatly impossible.

I have a 2217, but it works very well that I have not dared to rewind.
A KDA to rewind, had a lot of varnish and remove the wires with Xacto slowly.
It was hard work but ultimately staying.

If e-flite are a real problem. very difficult to disarm.
