Drone vs DSLR ?

A drone vs DSLR?

You can buy both of them at almost same price but both have some pros and cons,I just made an interesting article on my blog.

Check it out and don't forget to give your opinion

Why not both? The best camera rigs use a DSLR and up.

In your article you confuse people by assimilating a drone with a photo device, this is not true.

From the start you contradict the price assert showing an advanced $3000 drone vs an entry $450 DSLR...

Also other asserts are questionable:
"Your camera is much stable than the DSLR(without any advanced gimbal)" - did you tried at least once to say this ?

Anyway, the whole idea is flawed by the fact that a DSLR is not the best tool for an aerian job, as some other believe.

And you forgot the most important: a drone can and will be crashed, the question is not if, but how quick, while the DSLR could last for some years, being retired only for it's own internal failures.

Yes Camera of Drone is much stable then the DSLR without gimbal.
For 600$ you can buy the Drone or DSLR but drone camera will have a gimbal so you can get stable footage then the dslr.

Oh yes! i will add this soon

The closest thing to making this accurate was to specifically say you're comparing a DJI Inspire One to a Nikon D3200 DSLR.

This is a drone

And this

And this

You're better off saying that you're comparing a GoPro to a DSLR.

You could even build an F550 and have that carry a DSLR for less than the price of an inspire.

Drone vs DSLR ?

So given the choice, and if I wanted to turn out the best product possible and use the platform for more than one function, I'd take a mirrorless high end digital camera with lens, aperture, speed change capability over a very limited sports/action camera. I already use both.

The action cams have their place but the mirrorless DSLR's have more places.

" mirrorless DSLR's" is an impossibility...
The mirrorless term negates the Reflex from SLR
Does exist mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, but not mirrorless reflex.
If no mirror there is no reflex

Better description since you want to finesse details. Mirrorless digital like Sony A7 or a6000 instead of the typical Cannon, GH4, or Go Pro. Reflex camera days are nearly over.

I agree about this, and I predicted it many years ago, in several forums.
The reflex mirror mechanics became too critical for accurate AF using sensors over 20M.

Too large, too heavy, and too expensive, largely because of the reflex mechanism, which adds mass all the way out through the lenses.

This happens usually
When someone buys a new quadcopter says now i want to buy a gimbal to get good shots.
When someone buys a new DSLR says now i want that lens (50mm) to get nice portraits.

I must say that I've owned an Inspire 1 and it was super nice, very compact for travel with nice features that were hard to beat. When the price went to $5k just to shoot raw images and the fact that where I live (near DC) and shoot there are plenty of NFZ's I had to go the used custom route. As you can see in the image I didn't do too bad for using bit of patience and $650 to acquire a Tarot T810 rig that was built, tuned and flown by an actual photographer. I also purchased a Sony a6000 from Best Buy's Ebay site for $531 with the full manufactures warranty. Not a bad deal for full AP rig at $1181 shipped.
