Help needed

Hi guys need some help identifying a used plane i have bought.

Its a Zero with a 60" built up wing and fiberglass fuzz..

anyone have any ideas?

good point.


the dark patches on the wings are repairs, the ailerons are nearly the full lentgh of the wing, fiberglass fuz and cowel, built up wing and sheet tail etc...also has retracts..

any ideas?

It looks like what some people refer to as "CMP 50 size Zero knockoff." It has the gloss rather than flat finish of the CMP. I've seen a lot of these on Ebay sold by Egrandbuy (sp?) and others.

no the finish is matt, the glossy bits are repairs that i did...

I think the world model zero has a 2 piece wing and flaps, this has a single piece wing and no flaps...

There was two version made in 60 size, the early model didn't have flaps, then they came out with the most recent one with flaps.

Definitely the first generation WM .60 size Zero. The Kyosho has glossy black cowl and nice thick airfoiled vertical fin.

Plus, the Kyosho has a 54" foam core wing fully sheeted with balsa, not 60" built up.

Thanks for your help chaps, but try as i might i can't find a picture of the early zero, I am planning on getting the zero airworthy again and need a canopy, any ideas where i might find one?
