Gaui X3

So who's going to pre order the new Gaui X3, set for August 23 release and $209 dollars with the metal tail grips?

Yea,I think it wins so far on price but I believe you need their stretch kit to run 350 blades?

That is unfortunate. I'm not a fan of torque tubes on small helicopters but, otherwise, it looks like a nice design. I've never built a Gaui model so do wonder about the quality.

Same here,no Gaui experience ,but there's now so much competion in this size class that I'm sure a new winner will come out on top! Will be interesting when the end users start building their kits!

I want to see the manual. A lot of times what kills the deal for me with 450s is the tail design, grip bearings, etc.

Don't forget the part prices,I built my second Forza from parts and probably was about the same price as the kit, which is a very fair price, some company's really gouge on part prices!

The X3 manual is up here:

Also, RCMania has a nice build thread posted up, typical excellent very detailed photos. The plastic Gaui is using looks like the good stuff...I'd have no issue with that type of plastic, assuming the pics aren't misleading me.

Empire RC has them in stock, I think. Looks like you can order the kits now! If I still didn't have the Warped to finish up and not enough hours in the day, I'd order one today!

She has arrived!

I've been waiting a long time for a 450-Class heli from Gaui, so when I heard news of the X3 coming out all I could think was, "About stinkin' time!"

I'm a proud owner of several Gaui products and helicopters. I enjoy using their servos, speed controls, etc. in everything from their flagship helicopters to high performance EDF jets for one simple reason; Gaui consistently offers fantastic value with their innovative and solid-performing products with the local support to boot! Right out of the box the X3 will live up to the hype; I can't wait to get it in the air!!!

I'm still waiting on some parts and electronics to come in so my build will be slow, but I'll post what I've got done when I can.

Enjoy.

Vic

I tried to cancel my Forza 450 order when I saw the X3 kit for $209 and how cheap replacement parts are but I was too late and it's already been shipped.
