DS6i equivalent

Anyone have any suggestions for an equivalent radio to the DS6i that would be a better value?

RDS8000.

Pros: Costs about the same ($170 last I checked) and has 8 channels, 10 models, 3 flight modes, heli and plane functions, more swash configurations, about the same cost for a 6CH receiver. No glitches in 5+ years.

Cons: Forget binding anything DSM to a non-HH radio. The battery in my RDS8000 had trouble holding a charge for longer than a month even if not used, so I replaced it, now everything is good.

Most importantly, I have had more glitches with DX6i than I can count. This includes memory loss, timer resets, switches coming loose. None of that with Airtronics. I also have an older DX7 (DSM2), so you can ask me about that too, but it's off topic here.

Better value? No, not really...

But cheaper, yeah, there's a ton of cheaper stuff that works adequately.

Oh crap, sorry I can't get the link right now, but check out the Turnigy 9X from HobbyKing.

I pulled the trigger on the FlySky TH9x(Rebranded Turnigy) about four months ago for my E-Razor 450 and have had no problems whatsoever. Actually quite pleased with it. There are also a few mods and software updates available to make it that much more usable.
