Looking for aluminum windows?

Hi

I am renovating my home. As my friends suggest me for aluminum windows. So should I go for it? Is this a good idea? What are the benefits of having aluminum windows over others?

They're much stronger than glass windows, and they're available anodized in blue, purple, and red, as well as a natural aluminum oxide finish, but they may melt due to induction in the event of an electromagnetic apocalypse, and they don't repel bullets quite as easily as tempered steel.

Mostly it's a matter of priorities.

Good for privacy too. Can't see in or out of aluminum.

Make sure you get double-glazed, single pane alloy windows are lousy for heat-loss.

Odd question for a Toy airplane forum.
Ali = cheap, yet usable if thermally broken
Vinyl = better heat isolation
Wood = Best for both above reasons
pricey and maintenance prone though
Glazing;
Single is cheap (can one still buy single glazed ?)
Double is passable at insulation
Triple is better at insulation even noise

then there are the high priced variants;
Film centres for heat refection, polarised etc
Argon filled types (leaks out in a ~year, despite salesmens' claims )

Best to have a healthy wallet. for most any window replacement adventure
