Any one heard from Jack? A couple of guys keep asking me for plans and I would prefer that he tell me himself to send them, but so far he hasn't and I'd like to tell these guys something instead of ignoring them!

Well then while you're at it, mind if I snag a set too. This one looks interesting to me and am thinking it will be my next project after I finish the Marauder. Thanks in advance to you and Jack.

Plans received, thank you! Maybe one of these days we can get together and fly RW. My in-laws live out in Madera and we wind up going out there a few times a year. If you ever come out to the coast hit me up.

wooden fuselage

Please excuse the cross post but If anyone is interested, I was experimenting over the weekend with a protptype wooden fuselage to work with the Bantam. I am not an engineer, just a fairly long in the tooth modeler so it's a use at own risk design. It's based on a design I am working on for Jack's Houston Hawk and also is related to the Sagitta approach (lite ply, nose hatch block, etc.)

Ref

Any thoughts here on what modifications would be needed to the Bantam wing to make it REF with flaps rather than spoilers? Has anyone done it?

Just hoping to revive the thread, maybe...
Found out the Dave at Aerowerkes wil cut a ribset for the Bantam and can include plans on CD. Under $30 for laser cut ribs, webs, and plans seems pretty good. Too bad the price on AH's pod and boom have gone up so much, oh well. Looks to be a nice bird and exactly what I'm looking for as my next build...

Those interested can contact Dave here:

Where can you get the pod and boom from?

For my Bantam, I bought a pod and boom from Art Hobby.

I decided to build mine as an electric glider so I chose the Orion.

I'm hoping to use a pod and boom from an older Dlg design, the Raptor. Not much space in it but I can fit an 800mah 2s LIFE, 3 D47's, and rx so I should be good. I know the D47's are small and don't have that much torque but 24in ozs should be enough for a plane that will probably only be used on a high start (or hand launched...). I'm gonna build the V tailed version so force required should be pretty slight. Though I'm waiting for the plans (that Dave was so kind to include) to arrive before I make too many gear decisions.
