I have an Easy Star II. Full house, flaps and all. Just sold my Easy Star, five years of flying on it.
One mishap. Minor damage to nose. Little hot water fixed it.

Well, hopefully you can get it out the door

I have seen video of people taking it off the ground on a hard surface so it can be done.

I launch mine by myself with a hand launch and mine is rather heavy with 2- 5000 MHa batteries and all my FPV gear.

I walk with a cane, so hand launching a large plane is risky at best. I may try the ROG on grass,
with a lot of caution.

One thing I really like is that it will come apart and go back in the box for storage. Mine balances
with two 3s 3200's.

You're a fine pilot. Only one small mishap with that Easy Star, I salute you LOL. It's the same with me I fly FPV as I would fly in real life (but, I don't fly full-scale because I'm poor right now). Nonetheless, I fly safely. I don't do flips or rolls. I've had this one plane, a 2-meter balsa wood/fiberglass plane, that I've had for 7 years, until it crashed beyond repair. Yeah, flying like a real plane will make your RC plane(s) last longer.

How about a bungee launcher? Cheap, small, effective.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html

Some examples of launchers in use:

HobbyKing Pedal Operated Bungee Launch System (0 min 58 sec)

First X8 bungee launcher test, amazing results (0 min 22 sec)

That is cool. Only $25 at HobbyKing too.

Would like to see what has to go on the plane and where.

Damn. I saw it in stock earlier but held off because I'm travelling right now. Hopefully they will get it back soon.

I have put aluminum fixed gear on mine, along with a tail wheel. I use large 3.5" wheels on it for the mains and a 1.5" for the tail. I fly off a dirt runway, and even then, it takes a bit to get airborne. part of the issue is the downward force of the thrust line, you really need the speed up to launch. I have tried launching off grass without gear with poor results.

I have had a standard SkySurfer for years, and it flys much better than the Super Sky Surfer by far. My advise is sell it off and get the smaller SkySurfer or Bixler and enjoy a great flying plane that is easy to launch, transport and store.

So what's the problem? If you order it now you'll get it in a couple weeks and at least you'll have it and will be able to fly once it arrives. If you don't order it, in a couple weeks you still won't be able to fly anyway. You'll still be looking for a solution. Nothing to lose really.

Yup. They come in and out of stock pretty regularly.
