Rossi Engines

Looking for a really fast 46 to 55 Nitro for a De Night special. Is the Rossie a good solution?

Yes the Rossi engines are awesome runners. They would be a good choice.

What size would I need to get to be in the OS 55 range?

The Rossi .53 five port with Jett muffler would make the OS .55 look like a old time baffle .40 engine.

Nope.... that is the beauty of these engines: they absolutely love zero% Nitro (even dislike anything over 5%) and are extremely easy to tune in my opinion.

I run all my 2-stroke methanol powered helicopters exclusively with Rossi, and I run them all on a 2% Nitro, 15% full synthetic (Carbulin Speed) blend, and they run extremely well with it, are a doddle to tune and generally run very reliable and steady.

I do not expect that to be different in an airplane....

I have 2 sj 50s and they will both turn an apc 9x8 19+ on the ground. They like fuel and they like RPM. Don't prop it under 17k on the ground. and stay on the rich side !!!!!!!
