Glorious Weekend for AP!

We have been enjoying some fabulous sunny days here in England, so it was off to Sparklet's home territory for a weekend's camping, sailing and flying.

We could not have asked for better weather today, so I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Cheers!

Andrew

It is, and I did !
It is indeed a fantastic place and the scenery is superb.
I couldn't imagine living anywhere else and I have travelled quite a bit.

Superb shots Swanlander. You have captured that bit of the Lakes very well.
I have just finished reading a history of the Shorts factory and the Sunderland flying boats built there.

Super beautiful pics, Andrew!
I especially like the colors of the 'Looking south towards Wray Castle'.
Great scenery!
Nice landing approach also .

Very nice, I fished a little around here last summer.

Do you ever get up into the mountains? AP from there would be stunning and with other places like Wast Water you really are spoilt for choice in the Lakes!

Glad you like the pics.

I have taken shots from above Ullswater previously, the views along the lakes are stunning. Only problem can be that a picture could be taken from an adjacent peak with similar results. (Albeit with subtle changes to the field of view due to telephoto use.) The unique aspect of our AP can thus be diluted!
I want to get up to Hardnott fort (roman ruin) in Eskdale when the sun is low: additional detail can be revealed when shadows are long.

The new trailer is very useful as a workbench, at just the right height. I will have to equip it with power and vice clamps in preparation for the UKAP weekend fettling workshop!

Cheers
