MSR Help?

Guys, maybe I'm just having a senior moment here but I can't get my new MSR in the air (DX6i). After closer inspection, it appears that the cyclic is revered. forward-back is left-right, left-right is forward back. I tried a stock heli and aero model. Am I missing something here? No BNF for me?

You might want to move your post. I don't think it's relevant to my question at all.

you need to set it up unfortunatly . a pain in the but but do one function @ a time sometimes they are close but seems yours is reversed on every channel maby use a new model memory slot see if that makes it easier .

It's not the individual channels that are reversed. Aileron is elevator and elevator is aileron. I also tried a new model memory but that didn't help either.

Could you simply switch the servo plugs around, on the RX?

I think they are soldered to the board.

The only info I can find that I gather you already know, is:

If you’re using a computer transmitter, we suggest you select a clean model memory,
set the transmitter on ACRO or AIRPLANE mode, default servo settings, neutral trim
settings, bind and fly

Yep, tried that too. It's got to be the 5 in 1 board. It's acting very irritate. It just shouldn't be this hard. I'll give HH a call tomorrow. Hopefully they will help me out.

Sounds like somebody screwed up @ the factory, either that or you're in elevon mode or a setting is not quite right on the Tx (which would be weird so I doubt it). Have you tried it in heli mode yet? If it does the same thing in heli mode I would think the 5n1 is jacked for sure, HH should replace it no prob.

Yep, tried heli mode too. I think I got the Friday at 4 unit. The gear were turned around backwards too. <sigh>

They must have had beer on their mind! Sounds like another rookie @ the controls while the manager left early LOL! The manager explicitly told him to solder the red wire to the left pin, instead the rookie got it backwards. God only knows how many 5n1's are screwed up now!

Did you check the FAQ already?

Sounds like almost as much fun as the units that had the elevator-rudder mixed programmed in backwards... So instead of helping the heli to stay in place during a piro, it amplified the natural tendency to move forward on right rudder, and slide back on left rudder...

I have another MSR coming this week.. Lucky for me I guess. HH tells me I need to wait and test with the other one first. If it flys fine they will replace the 5 in 1. If I didn't have the second one coming they won't replace the 5 in 1 without me testing with their MSR tx first. Another words they want me to find a hobby store somewhere, take it in and test it there. Really?
