Looking good guys.!
Fill, sand, prime, sand, repeat. It almost sounds fun until you have to do it everyday. I once missed a friends wedding, painting a turbine jet for a customer. My friend wasn't too happy about it, but I made it all better when I promised to go to his next wedding.
I'm looking forward to seeing the results, keep up the good work.

Oh Crap!

I forgot to tell Kevin about the carbon fiber gear and wheel pants idea you guys had and he cut a hole for a nose retract!

I guess I'll just have to go "Old School" on this!!!

Thank goodness! Nice cutout, those are always hair raising operations on those thin pipe covers.

You draw it, you edge it, you cut it - gear up!

Ooh, I can just feel a world of colors around the corner...

Kevin sprayed the base white yesterday and prepped to spray the accent red.

The photo shows the base white and the tape lines for the red. The red will go on the top and the bottom.

More to follow.

A close up of the canopy. Kevin really cleaned up the edges on this for me and it should look great in paint.

We nailed down the base scheme last night. (That means Kevin told me how to make it look great and nodded my head yes) He is planning to spray the red top and bottom tomorrow. Cant wait!!

Color Started

"The Artist Formally Known as Kevin" got busy with color today so I thought I would share the progress.

I am so excited about the scheme. Kevin's ability is unbelievable.

Updated Pictures from Kevin's work today.

A few details to clean up according to Kevin. We are going to work on the canopy together tomorrow to finalize.

Hope you purist don't mind the "e" added to Conquest IV.

Looking SWEEEEET.......

Wow! That looks fantastic. Great job Doug and Kevin. Love the look of the cooling air exhaust holes. Well done!

The fuselage is done!! I dropped by yesterday and helped Kevin finish the job with a rub-out of the paint. (That means I held the fuse and Kevin buffed!)

I am so glad that Kevin cranked out the C4 before his next job arrived...(more on that later)

Here are some pictures which I have to tell you don't do it justice. Kevin did an INCREDIBLE job on this. It is so pretty that I am now afraid to fly it.

Next we will move to covering the wing. Kevin already has great graphic ideas for wing.

Camarillo here we come.
