WE NEED VIDEO

I almost bought a Beast this week...hmmm. This looks better for the half gym I fly at.

Oh dear... that's a bit sexy.

Can I really justify it when I've already got the beast? I bet this one would be pretty nippy with a GWS 5043, perhaps I can use it as my high speed UMX!

I bet this one is significantly faster than the beast, especially in dives due to its more central mass composition (i made that term up)

I saw it fly today at SEFF - the vertical acceleration is stunning!

Can someone blessed with the awesomeness that is SEFF provide some photos or even videos of this bad boy? We would love it back here in our boring non-SEFF abodes.

Looks like another one I'll want in my hangar. It's a bit lighter than the Beast, and the wingloading is very low. Should be a great backyard flier. Airfoil looks to be more like the XP, and the separate servos are a welcome change. Plus - I already have a fistful of Hyp 180 & 240 2s packs that I use in my two Beasts.

True! I'm always amazed that there's almost never any videos from all those events. It's has if they seize all the cameras before the show. Or I guess people carry too much stuff in, and sometime way more stuff out, so they cannot add even a small camera in their toolbox!

I seriously doubt the UMX Sbach will be suitable for a half gym. Maybe a golf dome. The Sbach weighs about 12 grams less than the Beast, which is a lot, and has a lower wing loading, but it will still be too fast for close quarters in the hands of most pilots. Seth Arnold or Mike McConnville could probably fly it in a bathroom. The video will tell the tale. I'd expect the Sbach to be a good micro for breezier days.

We shot video footage yesterday before I headed to SEFF. Should be up soon. A few notes.
Weight is similar to the Beast. its 53 to 55g w/o battery/ Speed is also similar, though it looks faster. Very sleek lines. Vertical is very big, excellent power. Its not a 3D airplane. More of a precision model. Hard to hover, though power is plenty and it'll rocket out of a high alpha .
I prefer it with the larger SFGs. Has really big rudder power with them. Square KE loops, high alpha KE etc. Its a blast. Both the Sbach and UMX Beast are. Quique and I had a great evening here flying each of them several flights right before dark.

Its really intended to be an outdoor(yard) model not indoor. A half gym would be no fun at all if even possible. It needs the same environment as the Beast.
