I think I'm going to hold off on carving out more foam and going with a 2200 if it doesn't make that much differance. Like I said I haven't even flown it yet, and unfortunanly probably not going to today either
. The rain is done but the wind is gusty as heck. Steady wind I can handle but its not easy to maiden anything in 20-30mph gusts-Otto |

So it officail, the tiger motor is well.......Junk in my opinion. Finally got around to a maiden and absolutely love the popwing. Bench tested it prior to to flight and with a 25c 3s pack and using a 7x5E prop it pull 90 Watts at 8 amps with no issues. With that beeing said, pack # 4 flight the motor locked as if it overamped. CRASH and a nose job, pissed but easily fixxed with welders glue. Put the motor back on the meter with the same settup and its pulling 14A and cuts out after WOT for 10-15 seconds. I set it aside for a rewind at a later date. Put an Emax Cf 2822 on it using the same prop and batteries and it friggin ripps. Balanced out a bit better and has a ton more power. I love it, NOW
just my 2 cents but save your self some headaches junk the T-motor right out of the gate and use something else. Otto I'll post info on the T-motor after a rewind |

What motor is that exactly? The stock motor for the larger Popwing? If so, I've got at least two dozen flights on my stock motor (2208 1370Kv) swinging a 7x6 prop and it's been great. Not blazing fast, but probably 55-60mph flat and level. Next for mine will be a 2210 or 2212 in the 2000Kv range... |

,dunno. I do know that 4 packs deep it cooked something inside. And it rocks with the 2822 Emax motor. Like I said I will eventually find the issue when I dig into it to do a rewind.I am going to try out a differant setup soon....prob this http://www.graysonhobby.com/catalog/...mbo-p-414.html Or maybe thier supermegajet although it would take a solid 2200+ mah pack to balance out that heavy of a motor (76g) it would haul A## http://www.graysonhobby.com/catalog/...esc-p-645.html |

Just had an issue with the emax motor aswell. I do believe I have a bad RX and am experiencing my first encounters with Brown outs. Range tested it and its all over the place??? 1 time it will work to 30 paces b4 cuttout then the next try I only make it 10-12 paces b4 it looses signal, and won't re connect till I'm standing on top of it again. So I may have to retract my first statement about the T-motor, time and testing will tell???
Syner please keep us posted, I really want to try it aswell but your the guinea pig for now LOL |
