Sony PAL FPV Cam
Got this in a package of some other equipment. Don't want to use it. Comes with plug and wiring in the photo.

The lens focuses light onto a small semiconductor image sensor. This sensor, a charge-coupled device (CCD), measures light with a panel of hundreds of thousands of tiny light-sensitive diodes called photosites. Each photosite measures the amount of light (photons) that hits a particular point, and translates this information into electrons (electrical charges). A brighter image is represented by a higher electrical charge, and a darker image is represented by a lower electrical charge. So essentially the CCD creates a video picture by recording light intensity.

You meant does it work. I connected it up to a power supply and small DVR that supports PAL and it does in fact work.

That's what they taught me in school!
 Too bad it's PAL format. You ought to find a European message board and put it up over there. BTW, Cam: This means it won't work on your TV. Analog TV in the US, Japan and parts of the Middle East is the NTSC format. It's totally incompatible with PAL. Saudi Arabia, the UAE and I believe Egypt use an analog format called SECAM. |
