I'm trying to emulate these guys as much as possible, and am about 3% there. Notice the smoothness of rotation, and how they turn on the ball of the right foot. Most of our pilots are natural throwers or have a history of throwing things hard, but uncoordinated guys - it took me 15 years to learn how to walk in a straight line - have to develop their technique; it doesn't come naturally to all.

Edit: Uncoordinated = me, not you, and growing up in Europe and playing soccer didn't exactly develop my throwing skills. Gettin' there ...

I watched your latest video, and you are improving. Here are my suggestions:

1. Lead more with your head - try to SEE the airplane out of your left eye as you commence (it will help wind up your body for the release).
2. Keep your arm level all the way around. The airplane will release with greater speed, which will give more height.
3. Follow-thru: make your release extend towards the horizon, don't stop your forward motion.
4. (And I'm teasing here, please, no offense meant) Pick different background music. I find that the "Theme for the Common Man" adds several feet, compared to others I have tried.

Will I see you at the F3K event in Phoenix in February?

- I never understood this before, but yesterday I was trying very hard to see the tail, and I was lagging my arm back more and more until I could see it. Gotta get my coordination better so I dont feel like I am falling at the end of the spin.

- I plan on going to every event in AZ next year and am shooting to make it to all of the Blue Skies series. I am looking forward to the Red Rock Challenge. going to make a family vacation out of it and go to Zion and Bryce either before or after the contest. My grandparents live in St George so my family will have a place to stay and people to see while I am out 'playing'

I haven't even looked at it since I took it out of the car.

It take 1 week to take it out of the car, 1 week for to take a look at it, probably take another week before fixing it. Well, still better than me, I don't even bother charging the dang thing.

No Vu, it's exponential. 1 week to take it out of the car. 2 weeks before I look at it again. 4 weeks before I touch it. 8 weeks before I even try to assess where to start with repairs...

It should be ready for a test flight the week before BSOAZ 2012.

Dang, you're quicker than I am now. My time line is:

1 day to take out of car (need room for groceries), 2 months before I look at it, 4 months to touch it, 8 months to figure out how to repair it, +12 months to finally fix it.

I'm still not sure if I can keep up with that schedule.

If it's any consolation,I had a Babyshark build slated to be finished around August. I just looked at the box last night. Not the stuff in the box, just the box, sitting on a shelf in the garage.

On second thought, maybe my brain knew better than my mouth and what I actually meant was August, 2012.

As posted in the bowl thread, I'm hoping to have a get together for flying a some birthday cake next Saturday either at the bowl or the dirt field by the water tank. I'm thinking around 2:30 or 3:00pm.

I would love to fly with you guys but we have three Christmas parties to manage to attend that day already.
