Thanks! Maybe, I'll go back through my throws and keep testing. I set up 3 rates for each surface and don't see much difference from my 50% low to 100% high rates

If you go back to post 220 from Brad, he mentioned wing rock. And some tips. I've found being easy on the sticks and using throttle helps. With the CPM I have the ailerons at 90% in the rates and I think 45 to 50% expo.

Alright orange ordered and I have a 2202 KV1620 here on my bench. So reading through this thread adding alittle weight wont hurt. So can I run a 450 battery with this and 9g servos or is that to much? I plan on running the 8x4 prop with the motor and yes it says 2 or 3s.Thanks

While adding a bit of weight (few grams won't hurt) a few ounces would. That battery and servos really would do better on the bigger Pitts not the Mini. You'd be better off with the recommended size servos and batteries.

Agreed. Stock recommendations are the way to go. The plane is fast enough, rolls, pitches and yaws with extreme authority. Needing less throw then usual. Bigger gear will detour satisfaction.

m 2 cents. I found very little difference with my rates as well. My CG was too far back. Put the CG a little more forward and the rock disappeared and rates were noticeable. I kept doing knife edges until the CG was bang on. Adjusted thrust angel and then played with my rates. Then I was finally happy with the plane.

Can't comment on that motor. If I was getting a budget motor, I'd go for the sunnysky which is the same size and kv as the TH one. It can be found here.

Maiden done and wow what roll rates this little bi is a blast. I went with the 450 battery cause no 250s came in so I'm sure it will float even more than it already does which is awesome. This is my first bi but definitely wont be my last!!! I will be looking for some small 3s 250mah and this plane will be a hand full.

Personally I think 3s will be a little too much for this Pitts. That being said I mainly fly mine in a small indoor gym and it is plenty fast enough

I just finished up my second CPM and a brand new CYM. Does anyone have a link to the parallel charging board for the 2s lipos with mini jst connectors at hobby king ?

Thanks
Scott

Just got mine done. I'm using a MicroDAN F3P motor with a Castle ESC and 300 Nano-Tech packs. It flies amazingly well. Couldn't be happier!

I'm making some evaluations of various values of kv about Park250 BL Motor with e-calc..it's interesting..reducing Kv values (from 2200 to 2000 and to 1700) flight time is bigger with quite same thrust
