Help!
Can you help me ID this setup?

So I won this little beauty at our club Christmas raffle, Merry Christmas everyone!

I was told it's a George Miller original. I have no idea if that's true and while I try to get ahold of George as he moved away recently, maybe you guys can help me ID the system so I can get a battery and see if I have a radio to fly her. If you're curious who George Miller is here's a little bio or search YouTube for George Miller RC to see some other models of his.

Anyway can you tell what I have, system wise, so I can get busy?

Thanks

I cannot identify the airplane itself, but the radio gear and motor/gearbox are straight out of any of many ParkZone/HobbyZone/Horizon Hobby UMX ready to fly planes. The receiver is a very popular and very widely used Spektrum ar6400, which is a 2.4 GHz DSM2-compatible radio, featuring 6 channel capability. The motor/GB is an 8.5 mm setup, which can produce about 25 - 30 grams of thrust on a single LiPo cell via a brushed ESC, usually onboard the Rx.

Perfect! Not looking to ID the airframe. If it is a George design then there's probably only 2 or 3 around.

So I have a DX5 somewhere which should fly it, right?

So I'll go research battery options.

Thanks for the look!

The GB + motor rather produces 40-45g of thrust.

Nice looking plane!

Looks like the motor and gear box from the parkzone P-51 a favorite combo for micro builds. Know as the mustang motors. They use 1s batteries anywhere from a 150 -180mAh Interesting plane for sure. Have fun with it.
