Help!
New to fpv need help finding good antennas.

So I've done my research on what type of antenna to get for the kind of flying I do, and it would be a 5.8 circular polarized cloverleaf antenna. Now, I have some cheapy ones and am looking to replace them. I know for the reciever I should have a 4-5 blade, and on the quad a 3 blade. So what antennas should I get? I also understand I'd get better range with a directional high gain antenna, but I'm just trying to have fun and not worry about where the antenna is pointed. It would be of great help if you guys upload pictures of your mushroom cased antennas with the case off, or a link to a picture that has the casing off. Anyway, I was thinking about getting fatshark spironets or the circular wireless skew planar wheel reciever. As I have found that the reciever does a great deal of performance in the antenna portion of fpv flying. Here's the links I have. Thanks a lot guys.

I had been running a IBC Blue Beam but it finally broke at the connector, shield broke. It did work ok.

I replaced it with a Cirular Wireless and this works much better with a lot less video noise and drop outs. It is also rubbery flexible so I don't expect this one to break after lots of inverted landing like the ICB antenna.

I am still using the 4-element Blue Beam on the goggles and the CW on the mini-H.

So you used the circular wireless as the reciever? Or you used it for both?

Also, what would happen if you ran four blades on tx and rx?

No, The CW antenna is on the mini-H. The IBC Blue beam is on the goggles.

The only possible issue with 4 element antenna on the quad is the nulls are sharper and if you fly so that the Null is pointed to the RX then the drop-out can be greater. Otherwise no issues and that is what I currently have and it does work better than 3-element antenna of the quad.

I use this on my fatsharks:

$13 and it works amazing. I have a cloverleaf on the machine. I get crystal clear video up to 1.5km. The spiro antenna they sell I slightly better in range but narrower signal, meaning you have to turn your head more .

Don't buy the 5.8 cloverleaf from foxtech, they are rubbish.

Ok thanks guys. So if I were to use the patch antenna, Would I have an issue since I have a screen on a tripod instead of fpv goggles? Would the patch antenna it still work even if I couldn't turn the way it faces? Also, do you think I would get farther range with two cw four blade cloverleaf antennas or if I were to use the ibc on the quad and cw on tx. Or if I got the patch, which is better, the four blade ibc or the four blade cw? Thanks again to Ecks cuz you have saved my quadcopter from failure more than 100 times now probably. Hahahaha XD.
