If you do much reading on any of the forums you'll find the biggest complaint with RC Guys planes is the covering. It is not ultracote. It is some kind of crappy china-cote. That has kept me from buying their Pitts Special. But...I have also read that the construction is nice, so if you're good at covering you can recover it.

Here's a current build/rebuild I'm working on. Taking a short brake now.

well it looks interesting to me. I was trained in an Archer for my license, not the same but pretty close!

I have the Cessna 150 aerobat... I will agree the covering is pathetic... Ive ironed down sections, and then a week later is lifting again.. a shame because the airframe is quite nice...

Yeah thats what I've heard from several other guys in different forums, that the design is good but the covering sucks. I would probably recover this anyways to the design of the cherokee I trained in if I did get it

Yup, the weakest point is the covering. I had a section blow off because the seams were backwards what anyone who's ever used a covering iron would put them.

if you use the recomended engine, drill the firewall and install blind nuts for the gear before you assemble the firewall/engine box or its a nightmare to change. Why they recommend that engine then tell you to move the gear if you use it is beyond me.

The elevator linkage needs fixed when you build it and I'm no big fan of Zbends on a plane this large but they work OK on the ailerons and flaps. If I were doing one I was planning on keeping, I'd redo all the linkages.
